Dr. Shannon Toftely, Ph.D., grew up on a hobby farm in Glencoe, MN and now resides in Waconia, MN with her husband, Dr. Jesse Toftely, and their two daughters. Together with her husband, Shannon co-owns Brush Dental Studio, where they seamlessly blend their expertise to ensure every patient enjoys an exceptional visit. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and a Master's and Doctorate in Cognitive Science from the University of Oklahoma, Shannon's academic journey has been dedicated to understanding how we think, learn, remember things, and make decisions.

Beyond the dental practice, Shannon serves as the Director of a San Diego-based company, where she pioneers innovative, human-focused research to elevate technology experiences. Drawing from her diverse background, she applies her expertise to enhance every aspect of the patient journey at Brush Dental Studio, from refining social media presence to curating the comfort menu to engaging with the community. Shannon cherishes her time with her family, embracing weekend adventures and immersing herself in an array of hobbies, including horseback riding, camping, biking, snowboarding, and exploring local culinary delights. As a dedicated mother of two toddlers, she finds joy in creating memorable moments with her loved ones.
